Thank you for purchasing the Thermostat with WiFi Receiver from Energenie Solutions.
This manual will take you through product set-up, operation and key features as well as providing troubleshooting tips.

Key Features
The Thermostat and receiver have the following key features:
Remote temperature adjustment for central heating from your web portal
Large display can be clearly read with the background lighting
The display shows the set temperature as well as the measured temperature, time.
Timers, to schedule temperature adjustments

Group temperature adjustment, allowing you to group multiple devices and operate as one

If you do not install and use in accordance with this guide (or the quick start guide) the warranty will be invalidated and Sandal Plc will not be liable for any damage or loss whatsoever, including indirect loss, damage to property or personal injury.
Please also do not leave packaging material lying around as children may be tempted to play with it, which could be dangerous.
Environment
This product is intended for domestic, commercial and light industrial use only and must only be used in dry areas indoors, and protected from moisture and water ingress. Please also read the Product Specification section in this guide for additional environmental considerations.
Overloading
The product relays are rated at 5 Amp/1200 Watts and care must be taken not to overload the product, which may cause the product to overheat and become damaged.

Please only connect appliances which are CE/UKCA marked to the product. This will ensure a higher degree of safety and electrical compatibility between the product and the connected appliances.
Nearby heat sources
Keep the product away from heat sources which can generate temperatures higher than the products operating temperature range, as specified in the Product Specification section.
Reliability
Your Energenie Solutions product relies on a good stable internet connection to function as intended. If the internet connection is poor, or at risk of dropping, or the product is out of range (over 30 m) from your Gateway, your device’s reliability will be impacted.
Interference from other radio transmitting products
Keep other electronic devices with radio transmitters, or appliances with motors, fans etc. away from the product; 1 metre separation distance is a general rule of thumb.
Disassembling the product
Other than to fit, remove or replace batteries, no part of the unit should be disassembled. The product does not contain any parts that can be serviced. If it arrives faulty or develops a fault while within warranty please return the product to where it was purchased from.

Prepare Thermostat for installation
To use the MIHO069-W Thermostat and WiFi Receiver you will need a working WiFi Router a mobile phone with the Espressive Provisioning app (ESP BLE Provisioning) and an Energenie Solutions Account.

To Prepare the Thermostat
Remove the Mounting Plate and Battery Cover
Insert 2x AA batteries ensuring they are the correct orientation
Replace the Battery Cover
To Prepare the Receiver
Using a small screwdriver, slightly loosen the screw located at the base of the RF-Switch.
You can then carefully separate the front panel from the back plate.
Installation
The MIHO069-W Requires direct connection of the Receiver to the boiler for it to function. The Thermostat can be powered either by battery, or USB supplied power.
Receiver Connection
Turn Off and isolate the power to the combi-boiler, central heating supply or electric heater.
Remove the existing thermostat, if fitted
Position the backplate on the wall, fixing in place using scrws provided.
Terminate the cables to the Receiver as shown in the wiring diagram.
Connect the Live Neutral and Earth from the boiler (or existing thermostat supply) to the Live Neutral and Earth on the left side of the backplate.
Connect the Live and Switched Live for your Room Thermostat connections to the Central Heating (CH) Normally Open (NO) and COM terminals on the connection box. If the cable is rigid, you should be able to insert them directly (Alternatively, use the Normally Closed (NC) terminal if it is required for your specific boiler).
Connect the Live and Switched Live for your Hot Water connections to the Hot Water (HW) Normally Open (NO) and COM terminals on the connection box. If the cable is rigid, you should be able to insert them directly (Alternatively, use the Normally Closed (NC) terminal if it is required for your specific boiler).
N.B. Each manufacturer uses different connections on their boilers for the room thermostat and if you are unsure of the connections to your boiler, you should seek assistance from a qualified boiler installer.
Thermostat Mounting
Mark 2 hole positions on the wall using the back plate as a positioning template.
Drill at the marked positions and insert a wall plug into each hole.
Screw the thermostat back plate securely on the wall.
Mount the Thermostat to the back plate
The Thermostat has two USB sockets to allow for mains power. One on the back, one on the left side. The rear mount could be used to hide the power feed in the wall cavity.
Linking the Thermostat to the Receiver unit
The Thermostat will need to be linked to the Receiver before it can be linked to your account. Ensure both units are on.
Press and hold the RF Pairing button (4) on the receiver for 4 seconds, release and confirm the LED next to the button is flashing slowly.
Ensure the Thermostat screen is off
Press and hold the M button on the Thermostat until code and
shows on the screen, then press the
button.
Wait for a while, when the LED on the receiver stops flashing, the pairing has succeeded.
Set up & Control of the Thermostat
Provisioning the Thermostat Receiver
Step1
Press and hold the WIFI Pairing button (3) on the Receiver
Step 2
Open the ESP BLE Provisioning app.
Step 3
Select Provision a New Device (the first time you do this, allow notifications and location sensing)
Step 4
Scan the QR code on the unit, or select I don’t have a QR code
Using QR Code
Step 5a
Confirm the WiFi indicator stops flashing and is solid on. If this does not occur,

Select the device that appears on the the list and select provision
Step 6
Select the Wi-Fi network the device will be on and enter the Wi-Fi password
Step 7
Select provision device and wait for the connection to be confirmed. Confirm the provisioning by selecting the OK button
Step 8
Open the Energenie Solutions web portal and sign into your account.
Step 9
Go to the My Devices tab

Select the Claim a Wi-Fi meter or thermostat option
Step 11
Check for your device using the serial number on the unit and select the Claim button
Step12
At this point, the device list will be populated with the device
The Thermostat is now ready for use.
Controlling the Thermostat - Local control
The Thermostat has various buttons and symbols. A break down of these is below:

The system allows you to control the system using the buttons on the front of the Thermostat; Hot Water mode (5), Heating Mode (6), Power/Display (7),
Temperature Down (9), Temperature Up (11)
Display On/Standby
The Thermostat display will be on as long as mains power is supplied. If you wish to turn the display off, press the power button (7) once. If you wish to view the display, press the power button again to turn the display on.
Central Heating – Control
Central Heating Mode
The central heating system can be set to Manual, Eco and Program modes. Manual mode is normal operation and the unit will be in this by default. Eco mode is the standby mode for central heating. Program mode uses the timers stored on the thermostat (optional).
To change the mode, press the Heating Mode Select button (7) on the thermostat
Adjust Target temperature
The central heating target temperature can be manually set using the Temperature Up (11) and Temperature Down (9) buttons.
Frost Protection
Frost Protection will turn the central heating on if the room temperature drops below 5°C. This will happen even in ECO mode.
Hot Water – Control
Hot Water Mode
The Hot water mode can be cycled by pressing the Hot Water Mode select button. Pressing the button will cycle through Off/On/Sch/Boost 30/60/90/120/150 (while the symbol (15) is showing boost, the time (2) will show 30 minute increments before the mode returns to Off
Boost Mode
When a Boost time is set, the Hot Water relay will switch on and will remain on until the time set has been reached, at which point the mode will revert automatically to Off
Child Lock
If the Child Lock symbol is showing, you will be able to turn the screen on and off, but you will not be able to set a target temperature or change the hot water or central heating modes locally. The child lock can be set on the server only.

Dashboard layout description
The channel tiles provide current information and control options specific for that channel
Heating Control – Temperature
Step 1
Select the SET button on the Heating Channel device tile
Step 2
Drag the slider to the desired temperature (between 12 ℃ and 30 ℃). Select the Set Now button to confirm your choice
Heating Control – Setting Timers
Timers are set on the same pase as the temperature.
Step 1
Select the +Add Timer option on the page to add a blank timer.
Step 2
Enter a time (in 24 hour format) with a colon ( : ) between the hours and minutes
Step 3
Select the days you want the timer to trigger on by highlighting as necessary.
Step 4
Select the drop-down box next to the days and select Set target Temperature.
Step 5
Enter the target temperature you want for that time. Ensure that the temperature is set between 12℃ and 30℃ (temperature must by entered as a whole number and not include a decimal point).
Step 6
When happy with your timers, select Set Timers to confirm.
Central Heating – On/Off
Central Heating can be toggled between on and off using the button on the device tile. Selecting the tile toggles between on (green) and off (red)

Select the SET button on the Heating Channel device tile
There are three timers available to be set

Enable the timers you wish to use by ticking the Enable box next to the timer
Step 3
Select either each day the timer will run on, or select the All Days option below the timer
Step 4
Set the from and until times for the timers using the drop-down windows
Step 5
Select the Set Timers option to confirm the timers
Unpairing your WiFi Thermostat
To unpair your WiFi thermostat and remove it from your account, go to the device on your web portal and select the x Delete Gateway option.
Confirm the selection by selecting OK on the window that pops up
The Thermostat will be removed from the account.

Pairing Issues
