Introduction
The Energenie Solutions 3-Phase DIN Rail Energy Monitor is part of the automation range and allows you to monitor the environment locally and manage your central heating system

Safety, Reliability & Warranty
If you do not install and use in accordance with this guide (or the quick start guide) the warranty will be invalidated and Sandal Plc will not be liable for any damage or loss whatsoever, including indirect loss, damage to property or personal injury.
Please also do not leave packaging material lying around as children may be tempted to play with it, which could be dangerous.
Environment
This product is intended for domestic, commercial and light industrial use only and must only be used in dry areas indoors, and protected from moisture and water ingress. Please also read the Product Specification section in this guide for additional environmental considerations.
Overloading
The monitor product is rated at 2 Amps while the CT clamps are able to monitor up to 36kW (150A @ 240V) and care must be taken not to overload the product, which may cause the product to overheat and become damaged.

Please only connect the provided CT clamps to the energy monitor.
Nearby heat sources
Keep the product away from heat sources which can generate temperatures higher than the products operating temperature range, as specified in the Product Specification section.
Reliability
Your Energenie Solutions product relies on a good stable internet connection to function as intended. If the internet connection is poor, or at risk of dropping, or the product is out of range (over 25m) from your Router, your device’s reliability will be impacted.
Interference from other radio transmitting products
Keep other electronic devices with radio transmitters, or appliances with motors, fans etc. away from the product; 1 metre separation distance is a general rule of thumb.
Disassembling the product
Other than to fit, remove or replace CT clamps, no part of the unit should be disassembled. The product does not contain any parts that can be serviced. If it arrives faulty or develops a fault while within warranty please return the product to where it was purchased from.

Getting Started
Installation (multiple circuits, single phase)
Before you start, ensure there is space in your distribution box to install the MIHO118 DIN rail 3-phase Energy Monitor. It will require the equivalent of two DIN rail RCD switches. If there is not enough space, either a smaller second distribution unit alongside the existing distribution unit, or a larger distribution unit will be required to use the MIHO118 DIN rail 3-phase Energy Monitor.
Turn off and isolate your distribution box. Ensure you have space on your DIN rail for the MIHO118 and make a note of the serial number on the side of the meter.
- Mount the MIHO118 to the rail
- Clip the Energy Monitor Clamps to the following connections
- Mains In (Live line feeding from the mains toward the distribution box, before the PV feed)
- Live Load (Live line feeding to the main distribution box, after PV feed)
- Live from the PV system
- Connect the live rail to the UA, UB, and UC terminals of the MIHO118

Connect the neutral rail to the UN terminal of the MIHO118
- Turn on your distribution box. Ensure the RUN (bottom) LED turns on and begins to blink
Installation (Single circuit, three phase)
Before you start, ensure there is space in your distribution box to install the MIHO118 DIN rail 3-phase Energy Monitor. It will require the equivalent of two DIN rail RCD switches. If there is not enough space, either a smaller second distribution unit alongside the existing distribution unit, or a larger distribution unit will be required to use the MIHO118 DIN rail 3-phase Energy Monitor.

- Mount the MIHO118 to the rail
- Feed the 3 Mains inputs (UA, UB, UC) with connections from L1, L2 and L3 respectively, with terminal UN being connected to the Neutral for the circuit.
- Clip the Energy Monitor Clamps to the following connections
- CT Clamp on LA to Line L1
- CT Clamp on LB to Line L2
- CT Clamp on LC to Line L3
- Turn on your distribution box. Ensure the RUN (bottom) LED turns on and begins to blink
Commissioning (App) - Android Only
- Install and open the app:
- Scan the QR code below:
- You will be directed to the Energenie Solutions Installer app
- Once installed, you can open the app.
- Scan the QR code below:
- Select the SCAN TO CONNECT DEVICE option
- The camera will open and a box will appear in the middle. Move the phone until the barcode on the box is centred:
- Once scanned, you will be returned to the main page with a pop-up saying Connect to device?
Select Connect to access the Energy Meter
- You will be taken to the device’s Data page. Select the symbol to go to the device ‘s settings page
- Once on the settings page, select the option at the top right of the page to access internet settings:
- Select the SSID line to choose the router to connect to:
- A list of available routers will be shown:
- When you select the Router, you can then enter the password and select save:
- You will receive a pop-up saying to wait 20 seconds.
When the unit is linked, you will be returned to the provisioning page and can begin again with the next unit.
Commissioning (Browser)
- Open your Phone
- Go to your Wi-Fi connections page in your phone's settings
- Select the device from the list of available Wi-Fi connections. The unit’s ID will show ESMeter_<device serial number>
- When asked how you want to connect to the device, select This time only.
- Go to your phone’s internet browser (e.g. Safari or Chrome)
- Go to the address bar and enter the address: 11.11.11.1
- Go to the Basic tab:
- Select the Wi-Fi Networks option to show the list of available connections
- Select the Wi-Fi router you wish to connect to. This will return you to the Basics tab, filling the Wi-Fi router ID
- Enter the Wi-Fi password into the Key box:
- Select the Save&Reboot option.
Your device will now reset and connect to the router. You will lose connection to the MIHO118 on your phone. Within one minute of restarting, the Wi-Fi LED (middle LED) will be available to claim on your portal.
Claiming your 3-Phase DIN Rail Energy Monitor
- Log into your Energenie Solutions portal
- Go to the My Devices tab.
- Select the Claim a Wi-Fi meter or thermostat option.
- Check for your device using the serial number on the unit and select the Claim button
- At this point, the device list will be populated with 4 device tiles
Ensure that the meters are providing outputs on the display just below the power symbol on each tile.
If the data is visible as you would expect, the unit is ready to use.
Using your 3-Phase DIN Rail Energy Monitor
Monitoring Data
Once you have successfully claimed the MIHO118, you will be able to view usage per channel on the web portal.
Select the MONITOR option on the device channel you wish to review and you will be taken to the monitor page:
The page provides graphs of information in varying resolutions.
Recent Usage shows every update from the energy monitor for the last hour
Average Hourly Usage shows average usage for each hour of the last 24 hours
Average Daily Usage shows the hourly average usage for each day of the last month
The page also provides additional data. Estimated future usage:
This section provides estimates based on usage for previous days or months and calculates it as a percentage of these estimates.
The page also shows cumulative usage for the last 3 months:
The last section on the page shows the cumulative and estimated costs for the last Day, Month and Year:
Renaming you 3-Phase DIN Rail Energy Monitor
You can rename each of the phases of your monitor individually.
Step 1
On the device tile, select the Manage option.
Step 2
Enter the new name in the device name box.
Step 3
Confirm the name change with the Update Subdevice button.
Unpairing your 3-Phase Energy Monitor
If you wish to un-pair your Energy Monitor device, for example to move it to a new account, select the My Devices tab then follow the steps below:
Step 1
Select the x Delete Gateway option on the Gateway tile of the device you want to remove
Step 2
A pop-up window will appear. To confirm the device should be removed, select OK.
Troubleshooting and other help
Commissioning Issues

Disposal
The crossed out wheelie bin symbol which is marked on your product indicates that the product must not be disposed of with regular household waste, but must be disposed of at your local recycling centre.
