Key Features
The Open Close Sensor has the following features:

If you do not install and use in accordance with this guide the warranty will be invalidated and Sandal Plc will not be liable for any damage or loss whatsoever, including indirect loss, damage to property or personal injury.
Please also do not leave packaging material lying around as children may be tempted to play with it, which could be dangerous.
Environment
This product is intended for domestic, commercial and light industrial use only and must only be used in dry areas indoors, and protected from moisture and water ingress. Please also read the Product Specification section in this guide for additional environmental considerations.
Nearby heat sources
Keep the product away from heat sources which can generate temperatures higher than the products operating temperature range, as specified in the Product Specification section.
Reliability
Your Energenie product relies on a good stable internet connection to function as intended. If the internet connection is poor, or at risk of dropping, or the product is out of range (over 30 m) from your Gateway, your device’s reliability will be impacted.
Interference from other radio transmitting products
Keep other electronic devices with radio transmitters, or appliances with motors, fans etc. away from the product; 1 metre separation distance is a general rule of thumb.
Disassembling the product
Other than to fit, remove or replace batteries, no part of the unit should be disassembled. The product does not contain any parts that can be serviced. If it arrives faulty or develops a fault while within warranty please return the product to where it was purchased from.

Getting Started
Prepare Open/Close Sensor for installation
Install the Battery
Remove the cover on the compartment of the transmitter using a small coin twisted in the slot between the two halves of the housing and insert the battery - observing the correct polarity.
Physical Location
Secure the sensor in the appropriate location using the mounting accessories. Suggested locations in the image below:
Mounting
The Sensor base can be mounted using the double sided tape provided. If you havce a rough surface, a mounting plate with screws is provided
Sensor Operation
When the door or window is opened, an Open message will be transmitted.
Set up & Control using the Energenie Solution
Web Portal
Pairing with your MIHO001 Gateway using the Web Portal
Step1
Go to the your Web portal
Step 2
Select the Login tab and enter your login Email address and Password.
Once signed in, go to My Devices and select Pair New Device from the gateway dashboard.
Step 4
A new window will open showing images of each product that can be paired. Select the sensor from the
devices available and confirm by selecting the Pair Device button.
Step 5
A small pop-up window will appear which provides instructions to be followed.
Select the Start Pairing button on screen, then press and hold the button on the sensor for 5 seconds.
Step 6
To give the sensor a unique identifying name, select Manage on the device tile.
Step 7
Enter a new name in the Device Name box and confirm the new name by selecting the Update
Device button.

Dashboard layout description
Each device tile provides information and control options specific to that device.
Triggers
The MIHO032 can be used to set triggers for a device on your account.
Select the Triggers option and you will be taken to the page below
Step1
To select a trigger event for When Open, select the drop down box to open a list of actions:
Select the device you wish the action to take effect on.
Step 3
To select a trigger event for When Closed, select the drop down box to open a list of actions.
Select the device you wish the action to take effect on.
To confirm the setup of the trigger rule, click the Set Triggers button.
Recent Events
A log of all events reported by the Open Close sensor for the last week can be accessed here:
Manage
From this page, you can change the name of the device.
Unpairing your Open/Close Sensor
If you wish to un-pair your device, for example to move it to a new account, select the My Devices tab
then follow the steps below:
Step 1
Select the x Unpair option on the device tile of the device you want to remove.
Step 2
A pop-up window will appear. To confirm the device should be removed, select OK.

Pairing Issues

The Open Close Sensor doesn’t go into pairing mode |
No power to the Sensor (status LED does not flash in response to the sensor being opened or closed and does not blink rapidly when the function button is pressed) | Ensure the battery fitted is not flat. If the battery is flat, replace the battery. |
The Open Close sensor doesn't pair and continues to flash slowly | Interference from other radio transmitting devices. | Ensure that there are no other radio transmitting appliances, such as cordless phones within 50 cm of the Sensor. Once separated, please begin the pairing process again. |
The Open/Close Sensor is out of range of the MIHO001 gateway | Move your gateway closer to the Open/Close Sensor and try pairing again. |

Disposal
The crossed out wheelie bin symbol which is marked on your product indicates that the product must not be disposed of with regular household waste, but must be disposed of at your local recycling centre.
